1. Check if your plan includes 4K
4K streaming on selected content is only available on a Premium plan. You’ll also need to use a device that's compatible with Kayo and supported for 4K viewing on Kayo. You can check your device here.
2. Make sure your device supports 4K
For a list of devices compatible with Kayo and supported for 4K viewing, click here.
3. Use a 4K-compatible HDMI cable
If you can watch other 4K content on your device, you're likely using a 4K-compatible HDMI cable. If not, you'll need a HDMI cable that's 4K compatible.
4. Check if the program is available in 4K
If you have everything you need to watch 4K, look for the “LIVE 4K” badge on the program's information screen. This badge is the key indicator to know you’re viewing in 4K.
If you're watching a live channel and see a 4K image ingrained into the stream (like the below example), that is static and will not change, regardless of whether you’re streaming in 4K.
5. Make sure your broadband speed is at least 25Mpbs
You’ll need at least 25Mbps to stream 4K on Kayo. Run a speed test online to check your connection.
Note: Having too many devices online at once can slow your speed.
6. Disable Game Mode (PlayStation 5 only)
If you're streaming on a PlayStation 5, disable Game Mode.
